This Small Business Development Center is committed to helping the communities we serve. One way is through our scholarship. The Center's scholarship fund was born out of a community effort to support the SBDC's "Entrepreneur Experience," an annual series of events for entrepreneurial advocates to present ideas, exchange knowledge, share experiences, and grow in the spirit of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial businesses, organizations, institutions, and individuals were key in funding this award for deserving and qualified students learning and growing at four Stark County higher education institutions - Kent State University at Stark, Malone University, University of Mount Union and Walsh University. The scholarship fund is managed by the Stark Community Foundation.
Students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in entrepreneurial and business-related studies or entrepreneurial-minded students from other disciplines qualify to apply for this grant. The purpose of the Small Business Development Center's Scholarship Award is to encourage students to stay home and reinvest in the community.
